Pattern 1853 muzzle-loading Enfield, and Snider Enfield 3-band Infantry rifle bayonet. 17"/430mm triangular blade, fullered on all three faces. British Inspector marked, 3" socket, with locking ring. Complete in brass mounted, brown leather scabbard. Ricasso marde 'Broad Arrow W. D.,' with Enfield inspector marks. Socket with engraved several letters in Hindi, so obviously has been in Indian or Nepali service at some time past.

Martini-Henry Infantry rifle bayonet, 'bushed' socket, converted from model 1853 Enfield rifle socket bayonet. 17"/430mm triangular blade, fullered on all three faces. Conversion date '2. 73' marked on ricasso. 3" socket, with locking ring. Complete in STEEL mounted, black leather scabbard. Steel mounted scabbard very unusual. Volunteer, Indian State Forces perhaps? but good quality and condition.

465mm straight single edged single fullered blade

Steel pommel and cross guard with 465mm straight single fullered single edged blade, chequered leather grips held by two steel rivets and washer. Leaf spring catch, pommel without oil hole. Complete in steel mounted black leather scabbard. This bayonet was designed for use with the .402 Enfild-Martini rifle, and converted in 1891 for use with the Mk.IV Martini-Henry 'long lever' rifle. Riccaso marked 'W Broad-Arrow D', one side and /86, C'87 on the other. Enfild inspectir marked.
Condition: good or better. Needs further careful cleaning. 		1167JTML
