Gewer mod.1898/05 'Butcher Knife' bayonet. Later type, with flashguard to walnut ribbed slab grips held by bolts and slotted washers. Complete in steel scabbard. 'Butcher Knife' leaf shaped blade, 'Schleutermann Remscheid' Imperial Inspector marked, 'Crown W 17'. Very light wear, but little or no original finish to scabbard.

all steel construction, plain hilt and scabbard,303mm un-fullered blade, marked with 'Crown over L' inspectors mark, barrel ears intact. Round oil/cleaning hole through grip. Complete in steel scabbard with ball end. Patinated,
